Jonas Fischer

Growing up in Zürich, Switzerland, Jonas and his brother made films together as kids until they upgraded their hobby into a career and co-founded the multi award-winning Swiss production company Dynamic Frame. Jonas' fascination for cinematography and narrative film motivated him to move to Los Angeles in 2018 where he completed his cinematography degree at the AFI Conservatory. He is currently working between Zürich and Los Angeles.

He has lensed the Slamdance Audience Award winning feature AFRICAN GIANTS, released in 2024, the features CHARMERS and ZEITLANG, as well as numerous shorts, including MASS AVE, which won the DGA Student Award, and was a finalist at the ABFF HBO Competition, and THE AFFRONT, which won the Zurich Film Prize. In addition to narrative and music video work, Jonas has shot a multitude of commercials for international clients like McDonalds, Ikea and Mercedes, for the latter of which he found himself in a backwards nose dive aboard a small plane to catch a skydiving sequence. Most recently, he was the technical lead and co-DoP of the 2025 Eurovision Postcard films which were broadcast to over 160 million pairs of eyes in May.
